SCOREBOARD anaheim hills boys soccer named tri-way league champions

Champions!!!! Coach Faust and I are extremely proud of the boys. They won the soccer championship for the second year in a row.  The boys beat Carden Hall yesterday 3-1. The championship yesterday was so exciting, and cold, especially after I received my Gatorade shower after the victory. We are so proud of our boys. Make sure to give them a big pat on the back! Way to go Cougars!

Special Fifth Grade Instrumental Event
The Fifth Grade strings instrumental class performed an informal mini-concert with their parents and grandparents in attendance. They provided a glimpse into the fundamental aspects of practicing a string instrument. In the middle of the mini-concert the parents and grandparents were met with a surprise.

Students invited their parents to come and do a 'role reversal'. A handful of students came up in front of the audience to demonstrate how to hold a violin and cello. Students successfully taught their invited guest how to hold and play several notes on their instrument.

Pre-school Lunch
Pre-schoolers Samantha Nocella and Alina Desai were the winners of the Re-Enrollment drawing for "Lunch with the Director".  They had a wonderful lunch with Pre-school Director, Candace Atherton!

Junior High Canned Food Drive
Canning Hunger
Fairmont Private Schools require our junior high students to acquire 36 hours of community service before eighth grade promotion.  The junior high is sponsoring a can drive,  "One Can At A Time" , for Canning Hunger and we are asking for your help in making this a success.  A flyer was send home with your child that explains the program.  The junior high students will receive one hour of service for every 10 cans/boxes that they bring in.  We are trying to plant the seeds of philanthropy early in our junior high students  and hope that you will support them!

Please leave your donations in the marked boxes around the campus before April 31.

Thank you to those families who promptly enrolled with us for the 2011-2012 school.  For those families who have yet to re-enroll at the Mable Campus, we would like to encourage you to enroll by April 26th. Junior High Students Recognized
On March 31, our junior high students gathered for a special assembly to recognize high academic achievement during the second trimester. Though we all know that there are many ways of recognition and that grades are only a partial reflection of who young people are, it was a pleasure to recognize the hard work by the students below. Honor Roll status is granted to students who are able to maintain a 3.5 GPA during a trimester, and Director's Honor Roll is for students who achieve a 90% or higher in all their core subjects. We congratulate the recipients of these distinctions as well as their families, and we wish these fine students continued success.
