Fairmont celebrated The Week of the Young Child April
10-16 with special projects and activities to highlight
the 2011 national theme: Early Years are Learning Years. The Week of
the Young Child, now in its 40th year, is sponsored by the National
Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) with the purpose
of drawing public attention to the needs of young children and their
families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that
meet those needs.
Fairmont's Anaheim Hills,
Citron, Edgewood and Mable campuses all celebrated their youngest learners with an array of events and activities including a balloon release at the Anaheim Hills campus, an International Food and Fashion Fair at Citron, a carnival at Edgewood, and special "buddy" reader visits at Mable.
