SCHOOL NEWS mable students win big in poster contest


On Friday, May 6, three Mable students were honored for their participation in the Council on Aging’s Poster Contest. Ryan C. won 1st place in the K-3 grade division, Jamie C. won 1st place in the 4-6 grade division and Kile Y. won 1st place in the 7-9 grade division. Mable Campus took 3 out of 4 first place finishes in the entire contest. Cerrick C. also placed second in the 4-6 grade division.


Students were asked to depict positive interaction with seniors. Each student was also invited to give a speech about their inspiration for the poster. For winning their division, each student was given a bag of art supplies, a $50.00 VISA gift card, a calculator, a Certificate of Excellence and a State of California Senate Certificate.
