She’s smart. Mrs. Marci
Cornish holds a Master’s Degree in teaching from Azusa Pacific University. She’s experienced. Mrs. Cornish has her CA teaching credential
and has been teaching at Fairmont for the past 11 years. And, most importantly, she’s prepared! Word
around the Anaheim Hills campus has Mrs. Cornish logging hundreds of extra
hours each year in preparation for her students. “I take my job very seriously and devote an
extraordinary amount of time in preparation of lessons to make them as
interesting as possible for students,” she says. “I encourage my students to come to me for
help during recess, lunch or after school.”
No one is arguing the commitment of the Fourth Grade Level Coordinator
and Mentor Teacher. Mrs. Cornish is also
known for her penchant for Promethean Boards. While a member of Fairmont’s
e-learning Tiger Team, she fell in love with technology and uses her
interactive whiteboard every day.
On the rare occasion that she’s not hard at
work creating dynamic lessons for her fourth graders, you may find her enjoying
a good book, hiking or taking a Zumba class.
She is very proud of her son who is a freshman at Northern Arizona
University pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering/Physics.
