Gold Fever is a Hit!
The Fourth Grade had a wonderful, funny music program directed by our amazing music teacher, Mrs. Zavoral!  They performed a great story called “Gold Fever” and told us about the history of California’s Gold Rush through song and dance.  The Fourth Graders were incredibly well-prepared and were talented actors and actresses!  Mr. David Jackson watched the show and said it might have been the best he had ever seen and was thoroughly delighted with all the future Oscar winners we have here at Fairmont!

Nutrition Management Serves Up "Lunch With Your Child"
Nutrition Management Services hosted “Lunch With Your Child” days this week, and they were a great success.  Kim Jensen and Michael Moorman led tours of our production kitchen, talking about all of the excellent equipment and policies of the kitchen to provide the healthiest and best tasting possibilities for all our students.  After parents toured the kitchen they were invited to buy “school lunch” and eat with their child.  Trust me, these lunches are not the “school lunches” that we had as kids!  Yesterday they had Chicken Kabobs, Spanoketpa, homemade Tomato-Basil Soup, Broccoli Cheese Soup, Calzones, Garlic Pasta, fresh steamed veggies and much more!
Kindergarten Field Trip
Kindergarten went on their first field trip of the year, to Centennial Farms at the Orange County Fairgrounds.  For many of our youngest elementary students this was their very first field trip and bus ride!  They were so excited and, as always, incredibly well-behaved.  Our students always get compliments from our field trip docents as the most well-behaved students that they tour around.  The Kindergarteners got to hold a baby chick, pet a pig and hear about growing our food.

The Santa Train evening is almost here!

  1. My daughter loved the field trip to Centennial Farms. She leaped out of bed that morning and made sure we weren't late. She was so excited, and now she keeps talking about all the animals she got to see, especially the little chick she got to hold. Thank you for making her very first field trip so memorable!
