FRIDAY FOLDER citron campus september 24

SHOW & TELL
Let’s Show Our Spirit!
Next week is Spirit Week at our Campus and we would like to encourage everyone to take part in the week's activities. Our week will start by showing your Husky Pup pride by wearing your husk pup polo shirt or t-shirt on Monday. We will also get a special visit from our Fairmont Prep Football team and cheerleaders. I hear that if we cheer loud enough at the pep rally at 1:00pm, that the Husky Mascot will make an appearance! Make sure to check out the calendar for the spirit week theme of each day and show your Husky Pup pride all week long!

Family Sock Hop
Students, parents, teachers, and staff will twist the night away this Wednesday at our very own 1950’s family sock hop. The night will be filled with burgers, root beer floats, hula hoop competitions, a D.J, and Elvis! Families are able to dedicate songs to their kids, teacher or loved ones by filling out a dedication ballot. Song list and drop box is located in the lobby of the office and each song is a $1. This evening is a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends.  Don’t forget to send in your RSVP for the night, there are extra forms in the office if needed.

Chalk Talk
Easy, Healthful Cooking for Families

Chef Tanya Petrovna
Tuesday October 5th, 6:00pm-7:30pm
Edgewood Campus, North Tustin

Learn how to add some spice and creativity to your family's meals with a presentation by Chef Tanya, founder and executive chef of Native Foods! The expert in making vegan appealing to vegans, vegetarians, omnivores and anyavores alike, Tanya will share her tips on making healthy plant based food fun and delicious  for even the pickiest of eaters and creating a balanced diet for your family. First 5 RSVPs will receive a copy of Tanya's Native Foods Restaurant Cookbook. You can RSVP by calling the Edgewood Campus at (714) 832-4867 or visiting www.fairmontschools.com/chalktalks

Apple Tasting
The Campus overflowed with apples and the students learned everything and anything that had to do with them. There were pies, apple chips, juice, muffins, apple sauce, and special treats like apple stickers. Each classroom celebrated Johnny Appleseed’s birthday and learned interesting facts about his life. Did you know that he spent 49 years of his life in the American wilderness planting apple seeds? Special thanks to the volunteers that helped in the classroom!

Oops…
There is a change in the Citron Campus Calendar for October 11th. The Calendar shows it as a no school day. The Citron Campus will be open and run its regular hours. We apologize for the confusion.
