ARTS & CRAFTS chalkboard lunch bag

In honor of the Back-to-School season, our favorite time of the year, we wanted to share a crafty solution to the annual crave for a new lunchbox. This chalkboard lunch bag is an eco-friendly alternative to the brown paper bag and can also serve as a canvas for a daily note or reminder from Mom or Dad. Tutorial by Instructables.  Have a great first week of school!

SUMMER week seven: reduce, reuse recyle

What does hockey, scrapbooking, talent shows and Knott's Berry Farm have in common? Week seven of Fairmont Summer Camp! This week, we also wrapped up summer school which focused on reading, writing and math to prepare students for the upcoming grade level. Even though there are only a few weeks of summer left, it's not too late to reserve your spot in one of our August enrichment workshops to pack in one more great summer adventure!

Campers helping out in the Recycling with Magic Show
The camp talent show is always a hit! This year's "competitive origami" was a new twist!
Campers loved making peanut butter and birdseed feeders to hang outside at home
Campers enjoy the swings at Knott's
We can't believe how fast the summer has flown by and hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have. With two weeks of activities left, don't miss saying goodbye to summer, Fairmont-style.

SUMMER parenting & kids expo

Don't miss Parenting OC's annual Parenting & Kids Expo this Saturday! The event will be at The District in Tustin, and the agenda includes: a Back-to-School Fashion Show, the Cute Kid Cover Contest, OC's top child performers, a game truck, and more. AND UC Irvine Healthcare will be offering complimentary whooping cough vaccinations for the first 500 students there, so your child can get the new mandatory vaccine just in time for school.

We'll be there at the Fairmont booth doing fun kid's crafts and raffling off a $50 gift card to Gymboree! Be sure to stop by and say hi :)
